I am so excited to finally share Ryan’s proposal to Christine at Kiana Lodge. OMG! How adorable! I was so excited when Ryan called to ask me to photograph his proposal. This guy is an amazing planner! We did a walk through of how he wanted it to go several weeks before the actual proposal. I fully expected him to be so excited that he would forget everything we talked about, yet he pulled it off just as we had planned!

So, I hid in the bushes, trying to blend in and popped out when I saw him drop to one knee. I was able to get several shots before Christine even knew what was happening. I don’t think she even saw me for the first 5 minutes, as she was so focused on Ryan.

Thanks Ryan, for letting us share this special moment! It was amazing!

The weather sure has been interesting lately. It rains one minute and the sun comes out the next. Trying to fit in engagement sessions has been a challenge. However Justin and Chelsea were game for whatever the weather brought. Chelsea suffered the cold while Justin did his best to keep her warm. These two are so sweet together and with their little boy! Congrats to becoming a pretty adorable family!

We are looking forward to Lizzy and Kyle’s wedding next weekend at Gold Mountain Golf Course. Hopefully the weather will be good! It is always a gamble in March! Here are a couple of shots from their engagement session last fall. I just love this couple! They are so sweet and so in love! The wedding will be awesome!

We spent a some time getting to know Megan and Tim a couple of weeks ago to get some images for an engagement session, before Megan was sent off to Djibouti in Africa. When she gets back, Megan and Tim are looking forward to a 2014 wedding. We pray that Megan stays safe and comes back healthy!  These two were so sweet and so in love. We wish them all the best.

Kitsap Memorial Engagement Session

As we entered the old lodge at Kiana Lodge on that rainy day a few weeks ago, it was as if we dropped back in time a few decades. There was Joe – dressed to the nines – looking like he was getting ready to film a scene from the Godfather -Northwest version! I loved that Joe dressed in his “gangster” best – including the hat, and that his lady – Michelle matched him style for style! We are so looking forward to Joe and Michelle’s wedding at Kiana Lodge in May. These two are so much fun!
They also braved the rain for some cool weather shots. These two rock! Congratulations guys!

In less than a week Rachel and Drew will be going down the isle in Port Gamble! We are so looking forward to their wedding, such a lovely place! They are such a wonderful couple. Just perfect for each other. I love the way Drew looks at Rachel – like he is the luckiest guy in the world! It just makes my heart melt. No matter what the weather, I know their wedding will be wonderful!  Congratulations Rachel and Drew!

In just over a month Matt and Mecca will be tying the knot at Kitsap Memorial Park near Poulsbo overlooking the Hood Canal. We did their engagement session in Port Gamble recently and had a great time getting these shots. Matt is a hoot! and Mecca is HOT! and you can see the sparks flying when these two get together. We are looking forward to the big day!

Kim and Devin are both in the military in California so I didn’t get a chance to meet them until the day before their wedding at Kiana Lodge in Suquamish. It was so fun to meet them and find out they were such a fun couple. They are sweet and adventurous and pretty much up for anything– and very much in love. Here are just a few shots from a ‘get to know you’ session we did just after their rehearsal at Kiana Lodge.

Lindsey and Andy will be coming back to the Pacific Northwest to get married in a couple of weeks at the beautiful Alderbrook Resort by the Hood Canal. They grew up here and met here, but have since moved away to Wisconsin. Since both families are here, the wedding will be here, too. These shots were done when they were visiting last Christmas, but somehow missed getting on the blog (sorry!). We are really looking forward to photographing their wedding day. We have met several of their family members already and the wedding is sure to be a wonderful event. See you two soon!
