Archive for August, 2009

Earlier this month we spent a beautiful photographing August day at Tara and Roberto’s wedding in Sequim at the Dungeness Golf Course. It was right after that hot spell, but the day was wonderful, not too hot and not too cold. Their wedding was so unique and fun. They had a mixture of wedding traditions from their two cultures that were entertaining and just downright fun! There was lots of love and laughter. It was beautiful! Congratulations to a great couple.

The weather was hot, but the bride was beaming and beautiful at this fantastic wedding at the Point Defiance Pagoda in Tacoma. Sara and Shane and their family and friends had a great time despite temperatures in the 90s. The couple went to great lengths to make their celebration a “green” event by using biodegradable flatware and napkins and giving away trees to plant as souvenirs of their day.
However, leaving in that cool red car probably made up for a little of that. But then it is a very cool red car!

Another summer day has come and gone away and along with it, another wonderful wedding at Kiana Lodge. Kiana is such a great wedding venue. Every season it is just beautiful! This summer day belonged to Kaitlin and Lukas and their families. The couple now lives in Massachusetts, but came back to Poulsbo to celebrate their wedding. It was great fun for me as I new half the bridal party since they were all former students of mine from North Kitsap High School. I love seeing them grow and start their families. Brings a little tear to my eye! Thanks Lukas and Kaitlin for having us at your wonderful wedding in the Pacific Northwest! We loved it! Here is a sneak peak at the album I am designing for them.

We are now offering Portrait Parties in our new studio in Bremerton. This is great for when you want to have a Bachelorette party with your girlfriends or want to celebrate a birthday or when you just want to have some fun with the girls! You and your friends can select a theme for the party; some suggestions are “Black and Bling” (black tops, jeans and lots of jewelry), “White and Ice” (white tops, jeans and sparkly jewelry), “Pretty in Pink”, or “Pajama Party” or make your own theme! We provide the studio, lighting, music, dressing area, plates, cups, napkins, and silverware. You provide the libations and eats.

We can arrange hair and makeup for you or you can provide your own! On arrival, guests are treated to drinks and eats while getting ready for their shoot. Each participant gets their own mini session and then we photograph the whole group together. Each guest gets an 8×10 portrait and a 5×7 group portrait. Expect parties to take at least 3 hours for up to 5 people and 30 minutes more for each additional person. Parties are limited to seven participants. Hostesses receive a $50 gift certificate for prints that can be used right away.

This is a great way to start off an evening out with your friends. E-mail me or call for more details at 360-692-1962.
